Christmas Shopping Breaks in Normandy

Why not take a short break in one of our Normandy farmhouses this November and December and enjoy the wonderful French Christmas markets?

Visit Cherbourg on your way through with its skating rink and Christmas lights (4 Dec -3 Jan) and the magical Marche de Noel (4 - 27 Dec).

At Caen's 'Wonderful World of Christmas' there are over 60 wooden chalets lining the streets at La Place de Saint Sauveur, a Christmas parade and light shows (28 Nov - 27 Dec). An array of Christmas goodies are on offer including foie gras, gingerbread, hippocras wine (mulled wine), nativity figurines and jewellery.

Coutances also has a wonderful local Christmas market to explore.

Brittany Ferries are running early 8.30 am crossings from Poole to Cherbourg and returning in the late afternoon at 6.30 pm, so you could take the perfect long-weekend break  between Thursday and Sunday to stock up on the amazing local French crafts, cheeses, wine and other delicious Christmas produce.
